Kl(aüs)ette Volume 1

Kl(aüs)

Klaus - Klausette Vol 1

What is Kl(aüs)ette volume 1? We’re glad you asked. It’s not an album, because it was unplanned. It’s not a live recording, because although originally recorded in one take there’s been a lot of work done since then to shape it into something more presentable. It’s not a demo tape, because do people even do those any more when they have the full power of a DAW in front of them?

Mostly, Kl(aüs)ette volume 1 is an experiment. Some passages you hear might end up on our next ‘proper’ album, but that remains to be seen. (Our original plans to complete that project in 2020/21 were shot sideways by, well, everything …) This is also partly why we’ve elected to release Kl(aüs)ette volume 1 on cassette, because the medium hasn’t suffered from the same supply-chain issues as vinyl records, and because the name Kl(aüs)ette – a more delicate version of Kl(aüs), a soupçon if you will – was too good to not use.

We hope you enjoy listening to Kl(aüs)ette volume 1 as much as we enjoyed making it.. up as we went along.
